Additional Services

8 hour mandatory class as prescribed by BSIS covering Power to Arrest (4 Hours) and Weapons of Mass Destruction (4 Hours). This class is the basic requirement for getting your Guard Card.
After receiving your guard card, BSIS requires an additional 32 hours of classes, broken into 16 hours of mandatory training (on topics such as Observation & Documentation, Public Relations, and Liability/Legal Aspects) as well as 16 hours of Elective courses where you choose courses such as Access Control, Officer Safety, and Crowd Control to make up the designated hourly requirement.
In order to submit your Guard Card application to BSIS, you are required to have your fingerprints taken by a licensed Livescan operator. Livescan is a digital fingerprinting system that captures and sends your prints to the DOJ and FBI for background checking and then returned to BSIS.
